I have even had the misfortune in working for a firm of receivers for over 30 days as the company I was working for went bust!

Five years later I was part of a three man team that took a company from loss making to a net profit of a million pounds in three years and I owe hell of a lot of that to what I had learnt by working from the receiver!

Shortly after that my entrepreneurial spirit could be contained no longer and I went out on my own as a business coach got some fantastic results, lost some money, sweated over the mortgage and backed some unreliable people but boy have I learnt some stuff and had the privilege of meeting and working with some amazing people.

I have learnt that we make business harder than it needs to be because at the end of the day it’s all about people and it’s only a job after all!

Mariah Carey once wrote a hit song about a “Hero” being within us all – Richard unlocks “that Hero” within and seemingly takes little credit thereafter for all the truly great things that follow.
To the reader of this testament, I would like to make two things clear; I have not been asked to give any of the following comments, nor have I ever felt the need to put pen to paper in this manner as a result of any service or product I have received in the past and secondly, although I have been tempted to give a testimonial from as early as month-two, the slight cynical side of me has held off for six months for fear of “shouting-out” prematurely.
Richard has been my Business Coach and Mentor for six months and in that time has put up various things for my personal consideration – some I have acted upon with truly outstanding results and others I have considered, but “stored” for further consideration later; and all with Richard’s support.
Prior to meeting Richard I had heard about professional coaching and mentoring but didn’t believe in this kind of service, thinking it’s just a chance for someone who has made it in life to tell me how great they are and why don’t I just copy them ?!
From my first meeting, Richard made it clear that he was only interested in one thing, me, and indeed, this was all we talked about. It felt good, really good, I can tell you.
He left me with a few things to consider for further discussion at a later meeting (if I wanted to pursue his services further) and also recommended something which, unbeknown to me at the time, was to change the way I viewed all the important things in my own life.
I scheduled a second meeting for six weeks later and during this time – after a seed had been planted (by Richard) – I had completely sorted out my own “map” of how I was going to achieve what I both needed to, and wanted to……… and by when !
A further six weeks on – my third meeting – I was reporting something that in two further months, would have seen my past income triple! That is to say, within a three-month period I had earned more than 3x that of my usual income – and without monumentous effort, either.
In a later discussion, Richard arranged for me to meet one of his business contacts. I already considered myself “on the ceiling” up to this point in light of what I had achieved in such a short time, but after two discussions and a fact-to-face meeting with his referral, realised the recent past was nothing – I had now smashed right through that metaphoric ceiling I considered myself to be on !
It’s a cliché I know, but my personal experience so far really has been life-changing – and changes for the better I may never have found on my own and far more than just financially, too.
In summary, it’s difficult to give Richard’s service any direct diction but I remember some years back early on in her career Mariah Carey once wrote a hit song about a “Hero” being within us all – Richard unlocks “that Hero” within and seemingly takes little credit there after for all the truly great things that follow.
